Hey there and Happy Summer!
This Monday, Ashley, Dustin, Chris, Kelly from Spyder and I sat around one of the circular tables in the common area of 621, brainstorming on how we can make this First Friday one to remember.
Bottle rockets, red, white and blue snow cones, patriot whistles and hot dogs were all ideas thrown around, but none tickled our fancy until….
I’m not going to reveal what we found, but I’ll tell you this: It blows patriot whistles and franks out of the water.
I’ll also tell you that may or may not involve a bounce, some water, possibly a slide and most likely some photos.
And it will definitely cool you off.
Additionally, we will be serving delicious icey refreshments, courtesy of Tommyknocker Brewery, will have jamin’ live music, and will display art by the talented Mr. Boucher (http://www.phivekvisuals.com/).
And on top of all of this, we will be giving away prizes to those of you who come dressed in the most creative “American” costume.
Whatever you think that is – wait until you see what Ashley is wearing…
So grab your partners, friends, kids, neighbors and head to Batter 621 (621 Kalamath St. Denver, CO 80204) for an evening of entertainment, art, creativity and great people.
Fun normally starts around 6pm and goes until 11pm.
If you haven’t checked out our new space yet, we’d LOVE to see you here and show you around.
Enjoy the rest of your week and we look forward to seeing you soon!

To celebrate sweet sweet summertime, why not head on down to our offices and gallery, Battery 621, and enjoy some great art, good beer, and meet a ski legend?
This month for our First Friday celebration, we are proud to host Clancy. Notorious for his infamous “Brain Rock,” this artist blends many different art forms together to create truly one-of-a-kind pieces. Clancy’s artwork includes painting, photography, sculpture, street art and literature. Both large pieces and smaller prints will be up for sale. Be sure to check out his show this Friday, June 3rd. More info on Clancy can be found here.
Also, the Battery, along with The Public Works and Spyder, are proud to host a meet and greet with Chris Davenport. Recently, the world-renowned skier successfully climbed Everest AND skied down the Lhotse face. He will be around the Battery, starting at 7pm, to sign his books and photos that will be up for sale benefiting the Colorado Avalanche Information Center. Check out his adventures on Everest.
As always, some tasty Tommy Knocker Beer will be provided (21+) and not to mention some other great art installments throughout the Battery.
If you’re not in Denver, do not fret, we will be posting photos and an event recap next week, so stay tuned…
See you all on Friday!
Cheers and enjoy the summer,
