BAD REQUEST
So yesterday Sam did something he
never thought he’d do….
As a graduation present, he and his girlfriend
are treating themselves to a two week
trip-of-a-lifetime in Hawaii to celebrate
their freedom – and to welcome the real world!
For those of you who don’t know Sam,
he is a surfer – through and through.
His office is covered in waves, he swims
almost daily (in a pool), wears hot pink sunglasses,
and takes any opportunity he can to visit
his old stomping grounds in San Diego.
As most surfers do, Sam has always dreamt of
riding “pipeline”, surfing’s Mecca wave on
the North Shore of Oahu. FEW actually do.
It’s a BIG, fast, heavy wave, that breaks on
top of sharp coral reef. To fall is to gamble
with death – you don’t want to fall.
But to ride it, now THAT’S a ticket into surf-riders heaven.
Not only did Sam surf pipeline, he SLAYED it –
all with confidence and without flaw or fall.
I talked to him immediately after his
experience and he was BUZZING!
I could feel it through the phone line –
across the Pacific Ocean. He was pumped.
This was immediately before our Very First
“First Tracks” call which I would be conducting –
and I was a bit nervous. Sam’s energy and confidence
was contagious – it fueled me – and the call
went off quite nicely.
Thanks, Sam
This brings me to two points that I would like
to share with you.
1. Your energy influences those around you –
even if they’re thousands of miles away.
Be aware of this as you go through the rest of
your day and I suspect you’ll notice some pretty
interesting things happen.
2. First Tracks is making things happen.
We had a killer group (all of whom were
radiating enthused, positive energy) of people
on last nights call, and with VERY minimal effort from Icelantic’s part, we now have a hot list of
simple action items that will, once again, take you,
them and Icelantic to the next level.
Thanks, guys.
So, congratulations to Sam for achieving
one of his dreams. That’s awesome.
And REALLY inspiring.
I’ve got something in mind now – maybe you do too.
Enjoy the day,
Annelise
P.S. If you don’t know what First Tracks is,
check it out:

This group is going to make some serious waves…
P.P.S. Imagine what Sam was tasting, hearing, feeling, smelling and seeing during this.
Whoa. The senses…..
